Abstract

At the base of the Russian Arctic biodiversity monitoring network comparative study of latitudinal structure spectra of 137 local and 6 regional floras from 3 sectors of Asian Arctic was performed. Levels of similarity latitudinal struc- ture spectra by groups and by fractions were calculated, territories with similar spectra were shown at the schematic maps and compared with existing subzonal division of tundra zone. 3 latitudinal types of local floras (arctic, boreal, hypoarctic) and within the arctic type 3 subtypes (high arctic, proper arctic, hypoarctic) were distinguished. Com- parison of latitudinal structure of regional floras, calculated in 2 different ways: ratios obtained from total lists of species for each subprovince and ratios obtained after normalizing the lists by frequencies of species in local floras in given subprovince. The latter is shown to be more correct. Most similar to each other are regional floras with similar sets of subzonal units, though they may be located in different longitudinal sectors.
