Abstract >>
A U-Pb isotope analysis has revealed zircons, dated at ~510−490 and ~430−400 Ma, in granitoid intrusions on the eastern slope of the Kuznetsk Alatau Range (Batenev Ridge). This suggests two stages of regional granitoid magmatism: Middle-Late Cambrian and Silurian-Early Devonian. The ages of two zircon grains from the rocks of the Tigertysh pluton are ~1.9 and ~2.6 Ga; they suggest the involvement of fragments of the Paleoproterozoic continental crust in magma generation. The granitoids, independently of their age, are mostly products of rocks of the calc-alkalic (K2O/Na2O ≈ 0.5−1.7) series. In the proportions of alumina, calcium, and alkalies most of them correspond to I-type granites (A/CNK ≤ 1.1) with reduced Fe/(Fe + Mg) values and contents of HFSE, including REE (ΣREE ≈ 100−300 ppm). The trace-element patterns of the rocks point to the possible participation of both IAB and OIB in magma genesis. Presumably, the influence of the within-plate component increased as a result of the superposition of plume on accretion-collisional structures, and their melting might have favored the preservation of geochemical features of subduction magmatism in the granitoids. The isotopic inhomogeneity (εNd(T) = 2.3−4.8, (87Sr/86Sr) T ≈ 0.7036−0.7051) of granitoid complexes suggests the heterogeneous composition of the sources of their material, which consisted of the matter of moderately depleted (PREMA) and enriched (EM) lithospheric mantle and crustal substrate, mixed in different proportions. Some products of the regional alkali-basic magmatism are coeval with the Cambrian granitoids of the Kuznetsk Alatau and are similar to them in isotope composition. This magmatism confirms the interaction of plume with the active continental margin at the Caledonian stage of evolution of the Central Asian Fold Belt.

Abstract >>
The study explored the taxonomic composition of foraminiferal assemblages from cores sampled in the Sil’ga and Yamal-Tyumen’ facies regions-the southern and southwestern West Siberian sedimentary basin. A complete sequence of biostratons was established for the Callovian-Kimmeridgian sediments of the southwestern West Siberian Lowland and was correlated with the units of the General Stratigraphic Scale. A number of biostratons have been revealed for the south of West Siberia. The biofacies analysis of the foraminiferal assemblages revealed that the Yamal-Tyumen’ facies region belonged to a relatively deep marine environment, far away from the Jurassic Sea littoral zone, in the Callovian through the Kimmeridgian and that the Sil’ga facies region was a relatively shallow marine environment in the Oxfordian through the Middle Volgian.

Subsection: NONLINEAR OPTICS

Abstract >>
Based on the optical model of the Earth atmosphere developed by the authors, the numerical simulations of the propagation effectiveness of intense radiation of different laser sources in the near- and mid-IR spectral ranges on high-altitude slant optical paths are carried out. Different laser sources, including chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL), chain chemical DF laser, and carbon-oxide (CO) laser are considered upon different optical weather conditions taking into account linear and nonlinear optical effects. We show that in terms of the net laser power transmitted along a path, the most preferable is the use of a COIL source because of low atmospheric linear attenuation and minimum influence of nonlinear effects. This laser source also demonstrates the best performance in terms of the mean radiation intensity at the receiver plane. Among multispectral chemical lasers, DF lasers take the first place when comparing the power transfer function.

Abstract >>
Temporal dynamics of maximum intensity and laser power in a finite-size aperture of the focused radiation at a wavelength of 10.6 microns under thermal self-action in a clear turbulent atmosphere is analyzed by means of computer simulation. Propagation of Gaussian beams along up to 160 m path is considered. It is shown that under strong turbulence conditions there are time intervals in which the maximum intensity in the middle of the path of a tightly focused beam is greater than in the focal plane at the end of the path.

Subsection: NONLINEAR OPTICS

Abstract >>
Formation of light bullets is numerically investigated during filamentation of near and mid-IR femtosecond pulses in condensed media at anomalous group velocity dispersion. On the example of filamentation of microjoule pulses at wavelengths of 1.4, 1.8, and 2.2 mm in fused silica at powers slightly exceeding the critical self-focusing power, it is established that the subsequent light bullets are not formed if the dispersive length is much bigger and much smaller than the self-focusing length. It is shown that the peak intensity in light bullets does not depend on the initial pulse intensity, is determined by the multiphoton order of laser plasma generation, and increases with the order. In fused silica, the peak intensity in a light bullet makes about 40 TW/cm2 during filamentation of microjoule pulses at a wavelength of 1.4-2.2 mm, and in CaF2, the peak intensity reaches 120 TW/cm2 for pulses at a wavelength of 3 mm. The light bullet is a short-lived formation existing on less than 1 mm distance. It is found that the change in the pulse energy at a wavelength of 3 mm during filamentation in CaF2 influences the number of light bullets and does not increase their time of life.

Abstract >>
Concentrations of K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Zn, Sr, Cu, Br, Rb, Pb in fruits of dog rose (Rosa canina) collected in areas with various technogenic load: Novosibirsk, Istaravshan City (Tajikistan), Gorny Altai have been determined by the method of X-ray fluorescence analysis using the synchrotron radiation (SRXRF). The highest concentrations of essential elements (K, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn) have been discovered for samples from Istaravshan City. It has been found that in pulp of plant fruits growing near the highway (Novosibirsk) concentrations of essential elements of K, Mn, Fe are several times lower, in comparison with data for the territory not experiencing the technogenic load (the forest area of Novosibirsk) and the concentration of Pb in them does not exceed the maximum permissible concentration (MPC).

Abstract >>
A synthesis of carbon nanomaterials was performed via decomposing hydrocarbon feedstock having various compositions (natural gas, propane–butane mixture) at 700 °С using a 20 % Ni/SBA-15 nickel catalyst. As the carrier for nickel catalysts we used mesoporous silicate material SBA-15 with a fixed pore diameter. It has been demonstrated that the preliminary functionalization of the carrier with amino groups provides a high dispersity of nickel particles due to their stabilization within the channels of the mesoporous silicate matrix. The maximal yield of carbon nanomaterials (27 g/gNi) was achieved in case of using a mixture of C3–C4. The product is presented by hollow carbon nanofibers with a diameter of 10–50 nm. The HRTEM method demonstrated that the formation of carbon filaments occurred owing to active centers attached to the outer surface of the carrier. The metal particles located within the pores of the SBA-15 matrix do not participate in the process. An effect of carbon methanation exerted on the yield of a carbon nanomaterial and its morphological features has been studied.

Abstract >>
Gas phase methane chlorination in the presence of fibreglass catalysts has been investigated. It has been demonstrated that increasing the acidity of the glass fibres leads to an increase in the selectivity of the formation of methyl chloride. Unlike zeolite catalysts, the fibreglass catalysts are stable and do not get deactivated during several dozens of hours.

Abstract >>
The dynamics of processes of mineralization of basic types of organic wastes of biotechnical systems of bioengineering systems of the life support in the medium containing hydrogen peroxide, under the action of the alternating electric current was described. Time and electroenergy were evaluated, as well as the degree of mineralization of wastes at the regime of oxidation corresponding to the maximally effective transition of mineral elements into the form, available to plants. The reverse dependence between the intensity of the mineralization process and such parameters, as the degree of waste mineralization, effectiveness of H2O2 and energy use was established.
