On a 25-year old seed-forest plantation of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) in the Altai region, a significant influence of various clones of this species on the content of macro-and trace elements and on the content of heavy metals in the surface layer of soil is found. It is demonstrated that six clones can be promising from the point of view of carrying out some metals from the soil and their fixation in the phytomass. The study permits supplementing and focusing further studies of breeding in the direction of control of the chemical composition and decrease of the volume of works necessary for a detailed estimation of transformation of metals by various arboreal clones under the conditions of a long-term field experience.

In the article, there is analyzed one of the “innovations” within the framework of the educational reform: the actual elimination of teaching the educational discipline of “politology” in the Russian higher educational institutions, in spite of the extremely low political culture of the population. There is argued the discrepancy between the real governing in the country and the democratic constitutional principles, which may have extremely negative consequences in our information age.

However, a decrease of the knowledge level is detected through the monitoring of the training quality. A trend analysis is carried out to highlight the consequences of the classroom load reduction in the educational standards concerning the machine-building subjects.

In the unfolding competition, the institutions of higher education resort to the extensive use of Internet to enhance their communicational capabilities. Maintaining a positive image of the higher education institute on the Internet has an influence not only on the strengthening of its competitiveness and outlook for the future, but, in general, makes it possible to indicate the level of educational development in a region or a country. The author analyzes the characteristics of Internet reputation of the higher education institution and the factors which form the educational reputation. In the article, there is also described an online reputation management system and a set of possible actions to implement the process of management of the Internet reputation.
